Velo Club Europe Disclaimer

By agreeing to participate in a Velo Club Europe Holiday you agree to the following:

I acknowledge that I will be participating in an organised cycling holiday or cycle training camp with Velo Club Europe will involve strenuous physical activity.

I confirm that I am sufficiently fit for, and am not suffering from any health problems which will be exacerbated by such activity.

In the case of a booking being made by an individual person on behalf of another person or group of persons, then the person who is making the booking must have the authority of all the other people to accept these terms and conditions on the group’s behalf.

I recognise that cycling on public roads, particularly in mountainous areas, is an activity with a danger of personal injury and even death. I confirm that I am aware of and accept such risk and will be responsible for my own actions and involvement in this activity.

I also acknowledge that I have been advised by Velo Club Europe to take out insurance against the costs of medical treatment, evacuation, loss of earnings and/or cost of care in the event that I suffer injury or illness during the holiday/training camp and while traveling; against loss of or damage to my property (including my bicycle); against liability I might incur to third parties; and against costs I might incur in the event of cancellation or curtailment of the holiday/training camp or my participation in it.I confirm that I will arrange adequate insurance against such risks.


Velo Club Europe can accept no responsibility for any costs that may be incurred due to insufficient insurance cover.

Circumstances may require some changes to be made at any time to the particulars of any holiday/training camp (eg. itineraries, overnight locations, meals or routes). Any such changes will be communicated to you as soon as possible and will be held to be of a minor nature. We will not materially change the value of the holiday/training camp, and the original theme will be retained.


Photographs, likenesses or images of participants secured or taken on any of our holidays/training camps may be used by the company without remuneration in all media for bona fide promotional or marketing purposes.

Accommodation & Half Board

Velo Club Europe will organize accommodation, half board (breakfast and dinner, no drinks with meals with the exception of tea/coffee with breakfast) and cycling activites. Velo Club Europe reserves the right to change cycle activities based on weather and road conditions and individual abilities of the rider.


Bookings are subject to £100.00 deposit per person at the time of booking,if the balance of the is not made by 30 days on departure date we reserve the right to cancel your booking and your deposit may be forfeited.

Balance Of Payment

Full payment for the holiday/training camp must be paid in full 30 days before your arrival/start date.


Offers are non-transferable and subject to full compliance in line with the details of the offer.

Offers are subject to full payment being made at the time of booking.

Offers cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers.


Your accommodation will be available to you from 2pm on your day of arrival, unless you have contacted us to arrange an earlier check in at the time of booking.


Please vacate your room by 11am on the day of your departure, unless otherwise arranged at time of booking. You are liable for any extras charged to your room at the time of checking out.


Cancellations will only be accepted in writing from the lead person who booked the holiday. We can accept no responsibility for cancellation charges arising from correspondence delayed or lost in the post. Cancellation fees will be levied in line with the scale listed below.

Velo Club Europe will not be responsible for reimbursing costs accrued via third parties (flights, transfers, insurance, visas vaccinations etc)

Provided all monies have been paid we will not cancel your holiday/training camp unless we are forced to do so, due to unusual and unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control which could not be avoided even with all due care having been exercised, or what is usually known as ‘force majeure’.


If, for some reason, you wish to cancel your holiday/training camp, we will return the non-deposit part of the total price, less the cancellation fees

Cancellation fees are calculated depending on the period of notice, before your arrival/start date,

30-59 days: 50%

29-15 days : 75%

14-8 days : 100%

Booking Transfers

Should you be unable to participate in a Velo Club Europe trip having made a booking then we will endeavor to facilitate the transfer of your place to another person should you wish to do so. Such a transfer of your place to another person requires that they satisfy all the conditions for the activity (including health and fitness requirements).While Velo Club Europe will endeavor to facilitate a transfer of a booking, it does not guarantee that in all circumstances that this will be possible and is subject to a possible fee (maximum £20.00).


If you have a complaint about the service you receive at any point during the stay you should notify Velo Club Europe as soon as possible to give us the opportunity to rectify the situation to a mutual agreement. If the complaint is unresolved to your satisfaction during the trip you should detail your complaint in writing within 14 days.

I here by agree that in respect of death or personal injury caused by negligence of Velo Club Europe, neither Velo Club Europe nor its employees /agents/volunteers will have any liability(whether in contract or tort including negligence)for any loss, damage,injury or death I may suffer in connection with any holiday/trip organised by Velo Club Europe.

I agree that the contract between Velo Club Europe and me will be governed by Scottish law and that any matter of dispute in connection with this contract will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Scottish Courts.
