Ride Mallorca in a Weekend

A long weekend of guided riding on some of the most fantastic roads that Mallorca has to offer.

Cycling in Mallorca offers one of the greatest mixtures of cycling in Europe. The rolling country roads and the stunning Tramuntana mountain range with its famous climbs including Coll de sa Batalla, Coll d’Honor, Coll de Femenia and the world famous Sa Calobra as trained on by Team Sky and most of the top world cycling teams.

The real gem of Mallorca is it’s all year round warm climate and smooth tarmac making it the perfect destination for every cyclist.

The weekend has been designed to get you riding some of our most famous and scenic routes in Mallorca, with our local expert knowledge we aim to make this a weekend to remember. We are always on hand to help and give support no matter what. Everything that can taken care of by us will be, so you can put all your energy into your riding. All rides are full days out on the bikes, with a few stops for coffee and cake or lunch.

  • Dedicated Velo Club Europe guides to help you improve your group riding, climbing and decending, whilst generally improving your cycling skill set.
  • Three nights accommodation in a centrally located, frontline hotel with balcony overlooking the beach and the glorious Bay of Pollenca.

Accommodation

We will be based in the famous Sis Pins hotel in Port de Pollenca on the north of Mallorca , approx. 45 minutes from Palma airport . The hotel is situated on the shores of the Bay of Pollenca, you can simply open your balcony doors, listen and watch the sea washing gently of the sandy shores. The stay at the hotel is on a B&B basis and thus making the trip very affordable and also giving you a chance to sample some of the local restaurants in the Port.

Hotel Sis Pins’ “concept” differentiates itself from larger chain/branded hotels in Majorca by providing personalised accommodation and services. They pride themselves on offering services in a comfortable, intimate, and welcoming setting.

 

Itinerary

Day 1 – Thursday. Arrive and set up Day.

  • Arrive in Port de Pollenca.
  • Collect your bike from the nearby bike rental shop.
  • Head out for a short ride to loosen the legs.
  • Enjoy your first evening in Port de Pollenca and a good night’s sleep for the next few days ahead.

Day 2 – Friday 100km ride (rolling roads)

  • Enjoy a Sis Pins fresh breakfast and get ready for a day on the saddle.
  • Head out into the Mallorcan countryside taking in lots of quiet “B” roads and work on various aspects of riding skills and of course a stop of for coffee & cake.
  • Return to base and relax on your sea fronted balcony.

Day 3 – Saturday 100km (mountain ride)

Set off after breakfast and ride to the world-famous Tramuntana which is a Unesco world Heritage Site. These mountains, there scenery and smooth tarmac never fails to disappoint.

  • A steady ride with on the road coaching, mentoring on climbing descending and group riding.
  • Lunch stop taking in the views.

Day 4 – Sunday Last ride.

Enjoying our last breakfast, we leave to ride the World Famous Cap Formentor road.

  • On arrival at the Cap Lighthouse, we stop for coffee and take in the amazing views from the most northerly tip of Mallorca.
  • Ride back to the hotel, where we will assist with the return of hire bikes and unfortunately say goodbye till next time !

Routes may vary slightly on the day depending on the weather and ability of the group.
